A standard production includes a half day of filming on your property (up to 4 hours) with drone footage, plus a USB keepsake and a digital download. Larger properties or extra interviews may need more time.
What can affect the price
✓Additional participants: each additional person interviewed adds to the price, since it means more filming and editing.
✓Digitization and enhancements: photo and video digitizing, restoration and more.
✓Custom add-ons: subtitles, chapter markers, additional filming time or locations.
✓3D reality capture: LiDAR and 360° capture of your home and grounds is available as an add-on. Drone footage is always included.
✓Travel: a travel fee applies for filming locations 30 minutes or more from London.

Where do you film these videos?
We film Homestead Legacy Videos directly on your property across Southwestern Ontario, capturing both the indoor and outdoor spaces that are meaningful to your story: your barn, garden, home and land.
Filming time varies based on the size of the property, how many places you’d like covered and how many people are interviewed.
Do you offer drone footage and 3D capture?
Yes. Drone footage is included in every Homestead Legacy Video: sweeping aerial shots of your property, woven through your story. 3D reality capture is available as an add-on: we capture your buildings, rooms and grounds using LiDAR scanning and a 360° camera, so your family can explore the homestead in full 3D long after it changes.
How long does it take?
The turnaround time is typically 6 to 8 weeks from your filming day, depending on the complexity of the project. That includes editing, adding photos, videos and music, and your review and revisions.
Need it sooner, for a milestone birthday or anniversary? Expedited editing is available at an additional cost.
Can we include old photos or home videos?
We encourage it: scanned photos, home videos (VHS tapes, Super 8 film, digital clips), letters and documents, and memorabilia like military medals, heirlooms and artwork.
We weave these into the story, and we also offer digitizing for old media formats, plus photo enhancement and restoration for aged or damaged images.
Can we include multiple people?
Yes. You can include a spouse, sibling, child or close friend. More than one person adds depth and different perspectives when discussing the history of your homestead, and we can film individual interviews or group discussions.
