We edit everything into a polished film with colour correction, b-roll, music, titles and transitions, with up to three rounds of revisions.

What can affect the price
✓Additional participants: each additional person interviewed adds to the price, since it means more filming and editing.
✓Digitization and enhancements: photo and video digitizing, restoration and more.
✓Custom add-ons: subtitles, chapter markers, additional filming time or locations.
✓Rising, resting and baking time: recipes with long waits may need extra filming time or a return visit.
✓Travel: a travel fee applies for filming locations 30 minutes or more from London.

Where do you film these videos?
Most Family Recipe Legacy Videos are filmed on location across Southwestern Ontario, whether that’s in your home, a meaningful place or a studio setting. It’s best to have a large surface, such as an island, for all of the ingredients and an area for putting everything together.
A standard session includes up to 2 hours of filming. If your recipe needs time to rise, rest or bake, you can prepare a batch ahead so we can film every stage without waiting, or we can stay through the wait or come back to film the final steps, billed as additional filming time. We’ll plan it together during your consultation.
How long does it take?
The turnaround time is typically 6 to 8 weeks from your filming day, depending on the complexity of the project. That includes editing, adding photos, videos and music, and your review and revisions.
Need it sooner, for a milestone birthday or anniversary? Expedited editing is available at an additional cost.
Can we include old photos or home videos?
We encourage it: scanned photos, home videos (VHS tapes, Super 8 film, digital clips), letters and documents, and memorabilia like military medals, heirlooms and artwork.
We weave these into the story, and we also offer digitizing for old media formats, plus photo enhancement and restoration for aged or damaged images.
Can we include multiple people?
Yes. You can include a spouse, sibling, child or close friend. More than one person adds depth and different perspectives when discussing the history of your recipe, and we can film individual interviews or group discussions.
